Dhuri (ਧੂਰੀ धूरी) is a city/town in Sangrur District in the state of Punjab, India. Dhuri is located on the Ludhiana-Delhi highway. The neighbouring towns of Dhuri are Sangrur, Malerkotla, Nabha, and Barnala. Dhuri is part of the historical Malwa region of Punjab.

Dhuri is a subdivision and it comes under the Patiala division. The town has a municipal council as its governing body and is a legislative assembly constituency of Punjab. At the national level, Dhuri comes under the Sangrur parliamentary constituency.

By road Dhuri is on Ludhiana-Sangrur highway, which leads to New-Delhi. Malerkotla is about 20km from Dhuri, Ludhiana about 60km from dhuri and distance from dhuri to sangrur is about 16km.

Dhuri, being a railway junction, is well-connected to nearby cities.From Dhuri one can take trains for Patiala, Rajpura, Barnala, Bathinda, Sangrur, Jakhal, Hisar and Ludhiana routes. Dhuri also has a Railway Overbridge which is over the two railway crossings and is the longest one in state of Punjab.

Dhuri is known in Punjab for housing some important industrial units. The oldest of them is Bhagwanpura Sugar Mills. There’s also A. P. Solves Ltd., biggest producers of ‘RICELA’ brand Rice Bran Oil. The Delhi-based KRBL Limited, producer of the “INDIA GATE” brand of basmati rice started a plant in Dhuri in 2005 after buying closed Oswal Agro.

Punjabi singers Karamjit Dhuri, Mintu Dhuri, Lovely Nirmaan, Gurdarshan Dhuri, actor/comedian Veenu Dhillon, actor/comedian Rana Ranbir, actress Sunita Dhir, famous painter Manjit Bawa and many writers also belongs to dhuri city.
